COMMENTARY
ON THE FENIX METHOD |
“If
you are looking for a special opportunity to learn Spanish,
study Mexican culture, and experience Mexican life, the Fenix
Language Institute program in Mexico is for you.”
Dr. Lee Daniel
Texas Christian University
"Most
people are in shock when they find out how much Spanish
I am able to speak considering the small amount of
time I studied at Fenix Language Institute. I give
a great deal of credit to the institute, because I
can honestly say that I did not speak Spanish before
I began studying there. Now, just a few months later
I am working in a bilingual position for a school
district and I translate for Spanish speaking families.
Fenix is a phenominal institute and I highly recommend
it to everyone interested in learning Spanish in Mexico."

“Two
weeks was all had and everyone told me it was not enough,
but my Spanish is much improved. I can now carry on a simple
conversation without being afraid of making a fool of myself,
and I have the renewed enthusiasm to continue to study the
language.”

Fenix
means business. If you are an executive, member
of the diplomatic corps, or other professional,
try Fénix. Having lived in South America,
and as an advanced speaker of Spanish, I needed
a top flight school to polish my skills with intense
training. After having attended Fenix, I was so
impressed, that I continue to return to as time
permits. Furthermore, I sent my daughter there for
three months this summer. As a college student,
with limited Spanish skills, she returned completely
fluent.

“The
method is effective in forcing students to listen to, speak
in, and think in Spanish... Because of the teaching techniques,
relations between students and teachers are relaxed and enjoyable...”
Emilio Esquibel
Monterey Peninsula College
I
recently studied Spanish in Zacatecas, Mexico, a little-visited
colonial gem at 8,200 feet. The high-quality Spanish
instruction at Fenix Language Institute brought me
to Zacatecas, and the city and the nearby mysterious
ruins called La Quemada turned out to be worth the
trip by themselves.

“One
of the thing which impresses me most about Fenix Language
Institute, apart from the vary fine regular program, is the
willingness and the ability of the staff to improvise and
adapt their program to provide for the special needs of each
student, whether it be the students just beginning his/her
studies or the more advanced student who comes to Fenix to
perfect his/her Spanish.”

So,
why should you come to the Fenix Language Institute to study
Spanish?
We asked and our students told us the following reasons. Fenix
carefully chooses the locations for its campuses so that students
are immersed in Spanish, cities and towns where English is
not spoken. Fenix focuses on the total cultural experience
and goes to extraordinary means to involve the student in
the culture. Fenix emphasizes excellence and constantly strives
to improve its methods and materials. At Fenix, you are treated
like part of the family. You receive personal attention from
the moment you arrive and the staff helps you achieve your
personal goals. All this leads to a relaxed, friendly, fun
learning environment that promotes success.

Zacatecas:
Fun to Say, Worth a Stay
Spanish
students seeking a true immersion experience in a sophisticated
but largely undiscovered region of Mexico should consider
Fenix Language Institute in Zacatecas. Mexico’s northernmost
silver city lies 200 miles northeast of Guadalajara, 400 miles
northwest of Mexico City. Few foreign tourists visit this
colonial jewel, though it’s popular destination for
Mexicans.
